Ahmedabad: India observed National Doctors' Day 2026 on July 1, honouring the dedication, compassion, and invaluable contributions of doctors and healthcare professionals. The day commemorates the birth and death anniversary of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, an eminent physician, freedom fighter, educationist, former Chief Minister of West Bengal, and Bharat Ratna awardee.

This year's theme, "Behind the Mask: Who Heals the Healers?", highlights the physical, emotional, and mental challenges doctors face while caring for patients.

To mark the occasion, Docthub released a special message featuring its CEO and Founder, Dr. Sandip Patel, who reflected on the realities facing India's healthcare workforce and the need for stronger support systems. Dr. Patel said, "One doctor for every 1,500 Indians. That's not a number. That's an emergency."
