Haryana- To strengthen Haryana's public health system and improve medical facilities, the state government has recently approved the upgradation of the existing 200-bed Civil Hospital in Sonipat to a 300-bed hospital and the establishment of a new sub-health centre in the rural area of Panihar Chak in Hisar district.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini had given approval to both proposals, with the Sonipat Hospital expansion being a key component of the initiative.

The increase in bed capacity to 300 is expected to reduce waiting times for critically ill patients, and will also pave the way for the creation of additional wards, the provision of modern medical equipment, and the deployment of more doctors and paramedical staff.

Currently, the district hospital is under immense pressure, and the expansion is expected to bring significant relief to patients from the local area and surrounding regions. It will also alleviate the financial and mental burden on patients' families.

Along with this, the Chief Minister has also approved the opening of a new sub-health centre in Panihar Chak village to make life easier for the residents of Panihar Chak and several surrounding villages, as reported by The Tribune.

This will save people in rural areas from having to travel long distances to cities or large government hospitals for the treatment of common ailments and for vaccinations.

Health Minister Arti Singh Rao stated that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini is committed to providing world-class healthcare facilities to every citizen of the state.

The Health Minister also reiterated that the state government's primary objective is to ensure access to healthcare services for the most marginalised sections of society, and that healthcare facilities are being modernised in both urban and rural areas.
