Gorakhpur: Mahayogi Gorakhnath AYUSH University has achieved a significant milestone by completing 100 surgeries in its operation theatre within just six months of its functioning, reflecting steady progress in Ayurvedic surgical care.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Ramchandra Reddy congratulated doctors and staff for their efforts and dedication, reports Dainik Bhaskar. He stated that surgeries performed under Ayurveda are based on safe and natural techniques, which have helped nearly 100 patients recover from various medical conditions. Describing it as a major accomplishment for the university, he expressed confidence that the number of beneficiaries will continue to rise as awareness and trust in such treatments increase.

Dr. Reddy further noted that patient footfall has been steadily increasing, attributing this rise to the proven effectiveness and safety of these procedures. He emphasized that Ayurvedic surgical methods are largely minimally invasive in nature and are designed to promote natural healing, which has helped build greater trust among patients. According to him, these techniques not only ensure reliable outcomes but also reduce recovery time, making them an increasingly preferred option for those seeking alternative and holistic treatment approaches.

Sharing further details, surgical specialist Dr. Manoj Chaurasia said that a wide range of procedures have been successfully performed at the facility. These include surgeries for conditions such as fibroadenoma, fissure, fistula and cyst, all of which have shown positive results. He also highlighted the growing use of Agnikarma therapy, a specialized Ayurvedic procedure, which is being effectively used for the treatment of warts and similar conditions. He acknowledged the dedicated efforts of the medical team, including Neerja Jain and staff nurse Kshama Shukla, whose contributions have played a key role in achieving consistent success.
