Puducherry: Through a recent notice, the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services has announced that the Common Entrance Examination for admission to BSc Nursing courses under CENTAC Government Quota seats for the academic year 2026-27 will be held on June 14, 2026.

The online application process began on May 18 through the official CENTAC portal.

According to the official press release issued by the Government of Puducherry, as per the Notification No.1-6/LT/2026-INC, dated 29.01.2026 of the Secretary, Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi, has proposed to conduct the Common Entrance Examination to the B.Sc. (Nursing) CENTAC Government Quota Admission, through Board of Examination of Nurses, Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Service, Puducherry.

"The B.Sc. (Nursing) aspirants have to apply twice on the CENTAC website, initially for NON NEET Courses and again exclusively for the B.Sc (Nursing) course. Further, the Self Supporting seats of B.Sc. (Nursing) in College of Nursing, Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Research Institute (IGMCRI), Puducherry and the Self Supporting seats, NRI Quota seats in Mother Theresa Post Graduate and Research Institute (MTPG&RI), Puducherry, and Karaikal, respectively, will be filled up by considering the NEET UG scorecard. Also, for Management Quota seats, admission will be made through another procedure as followed in the previous years. As of date, the total CENTAC B.Sc (Nursing) Govt. Quota seats available for counselling is 558," the notice stated.
