The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced a major recruitment drive for 145 contractual posts at Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Medical College and Dr Rustom Narsi Cooper Hospital, strengthening Mumbai’s public healthcare workforce.

This recruitment is particularly significant for candidates seeking hospital and patient-care support roles in a government medical college setup. Healthcare-linked vacancies include Ward Boy, Aya, Ambulance Attendant, Dialysis Technician, Porter and Library Attendant, which play a vital role in daily clinical operations and patient management.

BMC is also hiring for essential hospital infrastructure and technical roles such as Electrician, Wireman, Wireman II, Lift Operator, Lift Operator-cum-Wireman, Plumber, Carpenter, Training Assistant and Gardener, ensuring uninterrupted hospital services.

Most posts require candidates to have passed SSC (Class 10). Technical posts demand ITI or relevant trade certificates and valid licences. Knowledge of Marathi (reading, writing and speaking) is mandatory. The age limit is 18 to 38 years, with relaxation for reserved categories as per norms.

Selected candidates will receive a monthly remuneration of Rs 15,000–18,000. All appointments are contract-based and valid till March 31, 2027. Selection will be through trade tests and/or interviews, depending on the post.
